Girl student commits suicide in hostel room, Wednesday, 28 January 2015  Hyderabad

A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling in the room of the hostel where she was staying. According to Pet Basheerabad police, the deceased, Ch Vasundhara, resorted to the extreme step in her room in Sri Sai Durga Hostel on Tuesday night. She was a native of Karimnagar district and was studying B Tech in an engineering college in city. The reasons that drove her to the extreme step are yet to be ascertained. Dowry harassment drives newly-wed to 19yr old suicideThursday, 29 January 2015 Hyderabad

A 19-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment by husband and in-laws for more dowry.According to Shahinayatgunj police, the deceased, Sony, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Chudi Bazar on Wednesday night. She was married to one Ravi in February 2014. However, Ravi and his relatives were allegedly harassing Sony while asking her to bring more dowry from her parents. Unable to bear the harassment, she committed suicide. Police began investigation after registering a case under section 304 B of IPC.
