Ill-health drives three persons to suicideFriday, 30 January 2015 Hyderabad. Three persons, including two women, committed suicide allegedly due to ill-health.In Miyapur police limits, an 18-year-old girl, Sana Afreen, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Aditya Nagar on Thursday night. In another case, B Saritha, 26, succumbed to burn injuries which she sustained on January 28 after setting herself ablaze at her residence in Medipally. She was admitted to the Gandi Hospital where she died last night.In a separate case, 35-year-old Shivanand, who had consumed some unknown poison at his residence in Ellamma Banda on January 21, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Thursday night, according to KPHB Police. http://www.siasat.com/english/news/ill-health-drives-three-persons-suicide-1 Lake Police rescue B Tech girl student from committing suicideFriday, 30 January 2015 Hyderabad, The Lake Police has rescued a 22-year-old girl from committing suicide by jumping into the Hussainsagar lake.According to police, T Priyanka, a B Tech student of Miryalguda in Nalgonda district, was rescued near Lapakshi at Tank Bund on Thursday evening. She told the police that her father Saidulu was an alcoholic and does not take proper care of the family. She had three un-married sisters. Since the family was facing financial problems, she was worried about her sisters’ marriage. Further, one of her sister is having heart ailment. These problems led her into depression which consequently prompted her to resort to the extreme step.Priyanka was counseled and convinced that she would not resort to any such extreme step in future.
